The handset is specified to appear in United States shortly, with assistance for AT&T's LTE network. This is the first Smartphone from Nokia to be declared with strength for 4G service providers, and will be provided to the United States in the following months officially on the airwaves of wireless vendor AT&T. Nokia's Lumia 900 is being loaded with Micro USB port, 3.5mm AHJ Connector, Gyroscope, Proximity sensor, Magnetometer Sensor, Ambient light sensor, and 3D Accelerometer. It also has pre-packed GPS receiver to offer access to navigation services. As for the meantime, its release date is still unknown; all we know for the moment is when it will arrive on the market. So, stay tuned for more.

How Business Users Can Use Smartphone App Development To Their Advantage

Smartphone app development is the right tool for small business owners to make it big in the mobile world and establish brand loyalty. Even big brands should consider developing apps to reinforce brand value and to gain customer satisfaction. Smartphone users now consider apps to be an essential tool to know about businesses. When the social networks were in rage, the business owners were able to find a way to tap into the potential of networking with clients, customers and suppliers. Now, the app world is truly inviting as smartphone users are always willing to try new apps that can promise something for them.

The concept of smartphone app development for business value uses the simple principle of positive reinforcement. You want your customers to rely on you and buy products and services from you. With smartphone apps, you provide something for your customers and they will automatically recognize the efforts you try to make. When the potential audience find something interesting of value with your app, they will recommend it to their friends so that they can be benefited too. If that happens, without spending an additional penny, you can enjoy the results of viral marketing.

Smartphone apps are all about rewards and sharing with friends in most of the cases. You can also develop a branded smartphone app or even go for an ad funded app to provide deals for your potential audience. Using geolocation services to offer directions for the customers to earn those deals will certainly improve brand recognition. Smartphone users love promotions and discounts and you can incorporate them in your smartphone app development. In-app purchasing is also extensively used by smartphone users so that you don't have to lose any customer who is trying to figure out how to pay for your service or product.

Your customers always want to know what is in your product for them. Your smartphone app development should precisely answer this question. The app should not be a redefined business website for mobile users. Rather, it should solve a problem or offer something that your potential audience will want to use frequently. Throw in exclusive rewards wherever possible even if it is as simple as badges or coupon codes that can be redeemed later. Unless you offer something of value to your potential audience, your app will go unnoticed. It is almost mandatory to include options to share the app and features with friends through social media. With this option, you can be sure that your potential customer actually promotes your business.

Smartphone app development is just the beginning of taking your business closer to your customers. In order to make it possible, you should employ marketing strategies to market the app. In a large pool of millions of apps, you can't hope that your app will be eventually found. It is certainly expensive to develop and market the app. Long-term relationships with your customers and established brand value will be the rewards if you are ready to invest your time and money now to get cozy with smartphone users.

Cost Of Smartphone Application Development For Business Owners

Business owners are seriously contemplating smartphone application development to crank up a notch with their business, but it is important to realize that it is not cheap to develop an app for any smartphone. As it requires some serious investment, the decision of developing a business app should not be taken lightly. Not all businesses require apps, but every business can potentially find an app theme that it can relate it. If an idea is available to interact with your potential customers through the modern medium of smartphone apps, you should not ignore it completely, fearing the cost involved.

Smartphone application development requires a lot of time and focused effort from developers and quality apps are certainly expensive. Simple apps without any added touch of glamour can set you back $15,000 to $20,000 in the present scenario. Building mobile phone app on a relatively new platform isn't easy and there aren't enough skilled developers to actually meet the demand. It will take several months to conceive the idea of an app and put it into implementation after failing a few times. Branded apps cost even more, but brand name companies are now willing to spend even $150,000 to create a grand and elaborate app or game.

The cost of the app mainly depends on the features involved. A more feature rich app is very expensive as developing the prototype itself is very time-consuming. A simple interface with the app doesn't mean that it is going to be cheap. In fact, too much coding is involved in creating a simple interface with maximum usability in the smartphone application development process. The cost also depends on the number of devices you want to be supported by your app. If you want your app to be available across smartphones running multiple mobile platforms, you have to increase the investment considerably.

If you want to expand the reach of your business and attract more audience, then you should not let the cost of smartphone application development come in the way. Some business apps can be created to generate direct revenue. If your business is selling products, then, you can generate sales using your app by offering rewards for your customers. On the other hand, you can create apps solely for the purpose of business branding by offering something of value consistently to your customers. In that case, you will be able to build customer relationships and gain more loyal customers which are good for the future of your business.

Success of smartphone application development can be measured based on ROI. With apps, ROI may not be in terms of money at all times. Even though business apps are always assumed to be free apps, you can increase ROI by attaching a price tag to your app and making it a paid app. Research of smartphone user behavior indicates that users are willing to buy paid apps as long as the apps provide value to the money they pay. This can be achieved only when you develop a high quality app and take sincere marketing efforts to popularize it.

All About Smartphone Security

With the number of smartphone users increasing and applications becoming more and more popular, the number of those falling prey to mobile hackers is also on the rise. And this is one issue which is overlooked by most smartphone users.

Many people still find it hard to believe the power that a smartphone commands. Most smartphone handsets are more powerful when compared to desktops. Because of this, it appears impossible that a similar set of vulnerabilities that computers face almost everyday, would pose as a threat to the mobile phone.

Smartphones are part of our everyday life and most online transactions, including banking, are carried out through it. Scammers and hackers are thus always on the prowl to capture valuable information out of a smartphone.

Smartphone users usually indulge in increased internet activity and it's quite possible for them to click on a malicious link which captures valuable personal details like the username and password of an online baking account. While the link itself may look innocuous, the harm has already been done and information has already passed on to the hackers.

Another recent activity being carried by scammers and hackers is the creation of applications that can be freely downloaded from several online stores. These applications comprise a virus. Once the application is downloaded and installed on the smartphone, the virus becomes active. Moreover, there are many applications that cause the user to send text messages at a premium rate, often costing up to £5 per message, without the user knowing anything about it. Such a type of scam is quite rampant these days and has shocked several subscribers at the end of the month.

These security threats, however, aren't entirely unavoidable. First, buy or download applications only from a genuine and authorized online store. This would significantly reduce the chances of being a victim to scams. Also, never try to pilfer with the smartphone. This could lead to someone running unauthorized software on your handset and chances are high that such software could be consisting of malicious elements. Besides, pilfering the handset would nullify the manufacturer warranty.

One must exert proper precaution while using the Wi-Fi or Bluetooth facility on the smartphone handset. The Wi-Fi of the smartphone must never be accessed from any unsecured location and both the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi must be switched off after use. These will prevent hackers from accessing your phone. Keeping the Bluetooth on for a long time can greatly reduce the battery life of your phone.

A good way to keep hackers and scammers at bay is to install good anti-virus software on your smartphone. The software will prevent any malicious program from entering your phone. Many updated anti-virus software also prevents pirated applications from being installed on your handset. But make sure that you always install genuine anti-virus software and not any copied version.

A little bit of cautiousness and prudence on your part can save your smartphone from falling prey to hackers. Always check your monthly smartphone bill for ensuring that there's no suspicious activity.

Select from a wide range of 3G smartphones, attractive smartphones deals, cheap handsets & economical call plans.
