The smart and sophisticated Motorola Droid Bionic was released in September 2011, despite earlier promises that it would be released the previous January. Although we were all kept waiting a lot longer than was originally planned, our patience was rewarded and Motorola released a phone that was very much up to scratch and promised to be worth the wait - it was.
I could just give you a list that tells you the great things about the Bionic but a plain old list would not do it justice and you will see for yourself why this is the case.
One of the most remarkable things about this phone is its size, or should I say 'Depth' this incredible smart phone is just under half an inch thick which makes it is one of the thinnest LTE handsets around. But this handset is not tiny, being five inches in length and just over two and a half inches thick gives us the chance to enjoy the touch screen that is a satisfying four inches with a 960 x 540 resolution.
You wouldn't be wrong in thinking the Droid Bionic does not weigh much, it really doesn't and at only 158 grams, it has to be one of the lightest 4G phones I have ever come across. That's right, I said 4G, the 4G network is the latest network to come and take charge of how we do our business over the airwaves and it is proving to be very popular. For those of you who wish to stick to the 3G network for now, you have the option of exactly this, and you can continue to use this well-loved network while 4G settles in, makes itself and home and tries to find its feet.
With an incredibly fast processing speed (1000 MHz) thanks to the 1GHz dual core processor and the luxury of one of the fastest operating systems around (Gingerbread 2.3.4) that is also combined with a bit of Motorola's magic, you can be sure that there aren't many delays when you want to find an app or browse online.
When it comes to connectivity you get the usual Bluetooth and Wi-Fi which may not be anything remarkable but you can be sure that everything is processed quickly and the Motorola Droid Bionic is a joy to use.
There is no problem with the Bionic when it comes to memory, when this brand of phones first came onto the market many years ago, a few of us were disgruntled because of its sheer lack of space; times have changed however and the 8GB built-in memory can withstand a lot, but when you add the scope for up to 32 GB when you use a micro SD card, all the negativity from the past is simply erased from our memories.
With a rear eight mega pixel camera and an HD video camera that takes some pretty good pictures and videos, the Motorola Droid Bionic is not just a shot in the dark; it is a bright and shining light in the world of mobile technology.
